A New Layout

Been meaning to post this layout for awhile now. This is my dearly beloved mother. She was so absolutely beautiful. My sister recently gave me this picture and I new that this paper was the PERFECT paper for this layout. I am thinking the layout needs something. Update on 2011 Scrappy Goals!

Here are the goals I posted in late January of 2011.

1. Keep my scrapbook room clean so that I can actually scrap in it.

2. Organize my stuff better in order to go to crops: cause I have lots to go to the first 6 months of this year.

3. Finish scrapping 2008 and get all of 2009 scrapped and at least the first half of 2010.

4. Use 1 cartridge I have never used each month this year.

And I would like to report that the progress with each one of those goals was zero!!! Yep that is right, zero! And I have to say in my defense a lot, A LOT of things happened in 2011 that really prevented me from gaining the progress that I wanted in this area. So for this year, I am not making any scrapbooking goals. I am just going to go with the flow and do what I can, when I can, and be satisfied with that.

I have a new blog that I am journaling about my Fresh and Renewed outlook on life and trying to make some major changes in my life so my focus is going to be on those types of goals, not a laundry list of things to accomplish. Our assignment over at the Crafty Chicas blog was to create a layout using the letter B...all of the elements on the page had to be all about or BE the letter B...well getting some pics done and on a layout just thrills my soul, so I pulled out some pics I had floating around that had yet to get "scrapped" and thought how perfect. Robyn has issued a Design Team call! I am so excited to apply. I met Robyn last summer in Chicago at CHA. I really enjoyed meeting her and would love to be on her team. I do mostly Layouts with an occasional card or so. I love to scrap my grandchildren. So, I created this layout for the challenge.

National Scrapbooking Day

I am having a blast on this NSD. I am at a retreat with a great group of scrapping girlfriends. We are all working hard. I am working on getting some things ready for my new transformation next school year from a first grade teacher to a Kindergarten teacher. I am extremely excited about this new adventure and have been working on wonderful projects to use in my classroom next year. Some of them fit within themes of the challenges over at My Pink Stamper's National Scrapbook Day Event and some don't. I decided to not veer from what I am working on so if something will fit within a challenge that is where it will go. Anyhow, getting things accomplished is the goal and having a great time doing it is what is important.

2011 Goal Progress

Well the scrapping has been quite productive lately. Over Spring Break we spent an entire week scrapbooking over at the scrapbook house. I was in HEAVEN!!! let me tell you. It was fabulous, had some great peeps with me for the week. We watched movies, ate, scrapbooked, watched more movies, ate, and did I mention we ate? We each took a turn cooking dinner, and then we shared some of the other cooking duties. We had awesome food, great fellowship, and all got some awesome scrapping completed.

WOW!! Scrapping All Week and a New Blog to Boot!

I am so very excited to be scrapping all week with my good friends Daphne, Kimmy, Lisa, and Angie. And I get to scrap with a new friend, Daphne's daughter Beth who I have met once but not gotten to know. I am beyond happy to spend the week with these wonderful women.

And I want to thank from the bottom of my heart Lisa who sat here for a long while tonight redesigning my blog so I would be happy with it. I so appreciated friends who can take care of things for me that I don't know how to do.

Now it is off to scrapping for a bit tonight!! Will post progress later this week!!

I have been down for way too long I decided! Today I plan to begin to turn myself around to a more positive outlook and lean on someone that can help me make sure all of this turns out for the best. I have not leaned on God for way too long and I believe it is about time I make this turn around and give Him the reins back. So, here goes for a beautiful, long, and sometimes bumpy (I am sure) new road.

Getting Ready!

I am busy on this Saturday getting ready for my upcoming retreat trip. I won a trip recently to Scrapbook Creations in South Carolina for me and 15 friends. Well, several had to back out so I am taking 11 of my scrapping friends on this amazing road trip. I am so very excited. It is going to be an absolute blast. I will come back next week with pictures and an update on our weekend.

On another note; I have been kind of going through a really rough time lately. I have put on a happy face in front of many people but I really have been down. First, a very good friend has gone through an extremely rough and tough time and I care for her so much that it really got me down also. So glad things seem to be looking up. Secondly, I am just plain burnt out at school, and so need a break. I really would love to quit but that cannot absolutely happen so I need to somehow find it within myself to be okay with the next 5 years. Also, I have just been so tired and unmotivated lately I wonder if there is something medically wrong. But, I am getting this checked out really soon. Last, my scraproom has really gotten me down. I so need to change it so that I can function in it, but as usual have to wait on others for it to be accomplished. It will get done though and pretty soon.

A Very Short Update!

Okay so here goes with my late update for the month of January. I will give a detailed one this weekend.

1. Keep my scrapbook room clean so that I can actually scrap in it. I have a semi-professional organizer coming over this Friday evening to give me some pointers. My son is going to make me one of these!2. Organize my stuff better in order to go to crops: cause I have lots to go to the first 6 months of this year. I have made great progress toward this. More details this weekend.
3. Finish scrapping 2008 and get all of 2009 scrapped and at least the first half of 2010. Uploaded all of 2008 pics to be printed. Waiting on a good sale.
4. Use 1 cartridge I have never used each month this year. I used Birthday Cakes on a layout this month.

So there is the short version of my goal updates.

Late Posting of New Year's Scrappy Goals!

Ok so here are my scrap related goals for this year. I feel so blessed to be able to have this wonderful hobby. I am so going to try to achieve these and so much more this year. We are going to start small and dream big, and do it one step at a time.

A Very Busy but Fun Weekend!

This weekend is going to be one busy weekend. I want to savor every moment. Today (Saturday) at noon is the Christmas parade. I get the joy of watching it with most of my grandchildren. Then, shoe shopping with the granddaughter and taking her to see the Nutcracker this evening. On Sunday, providing it is not raining, my daughter and I are taking her three children and going to Disney. I am so excited to be able to do this. The last time I went was 3 years ago. I love that place, but it is soooo expensive to go to on a regular basis. Very thankful for my dear hubby who is buying me an annual pass so I can go with my daughter any time I want!! Pictures to come later on!

My First Video

I know the lighting is horrible in most of this video. My first and foremost task was to try to edit several video segments together using software on my computer and then successfully upload to You Tube. I was able to manage that, now it successfully put it here on my blog!!

I made this recent layout using a great new tool I received as part of the Club Ruby design team. I was sent the new We R Memory Keepers corner chomper. I love this tool because the only corner rounder I had was the original Creative Memories corner rounder that did not even catch your corners. Needless to say I was so very excited to receive this new tool. Here is a great layout I did using my fantastic new tool.

Imagine What I Can Do Now!!

I ordered the new Cricut Imagine machine from the HSN launch. After finally convincing my husband that I was not going to get rid of my regular Expression machine he told me if I wanted one and could pay for it ( and that 5 payment flex payment plan was too tempting). So I will be the proud owner of an Imagine machine come October 11. Hopefully a bit sooner. So watch for some great projects to come.

A New Era

Ok, I know I have said this before but I think I have finally arrived. I will be working hard this week on getting some blog posts up so they are happening more regularly. I have worked all morning on getting the design like I desire and am finally satisfied. I really wanted my blog to reflect me and since my fave colors are red, white, and black there it is. Evidently these colors are not the most popular because they are few and far between. I spent hours trying to find something and so hopefully this will be there for awhile. Look for a post to come later today with something scrappy because when I get home from the grocery store that is what I plan to do...SCRAPBOOK!!!

I came over here this evening to see if I could post something scrappy. Well much to my dismay I found my background missing. Well now I have to find a new background that I like. And here is my problem, I can't stand having a background without a matching header and so many free templates don't give you that option. So, this is up just for the sheer sake of it was time to go to bed. I will definitely be working on this over the weekend. Have a great holiday weekend!!

Why I Am Who I Am

I found this on another blog and thought it would be interesting for my readers to get to know me a bit.

You want to know all about me, well read on then? And, if you don't well then just stop. Have Fun!

1. Mayonnaise or miracle whip? Hamburgers or Hot Dogs?

Well, I grew up eating miracle whip and then married my DH and he ONLY eats mayo so, that is what we buy. After 35 years I have grown accustomed to it.

Hamburgers all the way! I kind of think hot dogs are gross.

2. What did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be a nurse when I was in high school, even was accepted into a nursing program but getting pregnant with my first child only 2 months after getting married (I got married while in HS) deterred that as they would not accept pregnant students. But, what in the world was I thinking I cannot stand the site of blood and stuff. So after my last child was in school I went to college to become a teacher and I have been teaching now for 15 years. The last 3 of which have been first grade. I have 6 years to go before I retire and would love to spend the last of them all in first grade. I love those little guys!

3. Dream car?

Ummm? Not sure if it would be another SUV (cause I LOVE mine) or a sporty red convertible!

4. Dream occupation?

A combination of a Stay at Home Grandma and sometype of work in the Scrapbook Industry. Dream on huh? Cause I know the first is definitely not going to happen at least for 6 years and should the scrapbook fairies think they want to grant my second dream that would be fine by me.

5. How did I learn how to do so many different kinds of crafts and how do I get my ideas?

I have always been a crafty kind of person and have done lots of different crafts over the years. But I am a one at a time kind of girl so don't do well doing all types of crafts together. I started scrapbooking when my oldest grandson was born and well he is 13 now, so I think that makes scrapbooking the craft that has stayed around the longest!!

My inspiration comes from all over. Blogs, websites, ads, magazines...just keep your eye open and you will find it!

6. Favorite household chore?

Ummmmmm, none of them. I have my daughter and daughter in law to do all of those!! (I pay them to clean my house!!) Sweet, huh! But, I do like to cook!!

7. Lease Favorite household chore?

Unloading the dishwasher! Unfortunately the housekeeper does not do that one most of the time!

8. Favorite sound?

My grandchildren saying "Grandma, I love you!!"

9. Least favorite sound?

Oh my, I have about a million of them. You see teaching first grade requires being around a lot of noise so I tend to enjoy quiet and solitude when I am at home. One particular sound I do not like though is the sound of a utensil being scraped on someone's teeth!

10. Favorite word?

Don't really have one. Although my favorite saying is "and I am going to tell you about it"

11. Favorite book?

Don't have one of these either but my favorite author is Jan Brett. I am a children's book lover to the hilt. Take me into a book store and I can so camp out in the children's section.

12. Favorite movie?

Please don't make me pick just one. I have several but these are not really in any particular order except the first one.

Gone with the Wind. Favorite line: Frankly Scarlett, I don't give a damn.

Sommersby. Favorite Line: Jodie Foster is on the witness stand and being questioned about the difference in her husband and the man who came home from the war: "A woman would know her own husband, Your honor. How do I know? Cause, cause "I didn't love him the way I love you" This one gave me chill bumps just sitting here typing it!

Ghost. Favorite Line: Molly: I really love you. Sam: Ditto. (Priceless)Pretty Woman. Favorite Line: none really just the whole story is great!

August Rush. Favorite Line: The music - I thought if I could play it, they would know I was alive and fine.

The Princess Bride. Who can resist Westley and Buttercup? or the super romantic line: "As you wish"

13. Favorite kind of craft?

Scrapbooking of course!!

14. Favorite holiday memory?

When my youngest daughter was 8 and snuck into the den and told her older sister "I got a PJ Sparkles" I got a PJ Sparkles!" She did all of this at about 4am.

15. Favorite Food?

CHOCOLATE!!! ALWAYS CHOCOLATE!!! Hey wait a minute, that is my fave snack when scrapping!

Food? Seafood, most anykind but my fave is lobster!

16. What TV shows do I watch?

NCIS and The Next Food Network Star. I am really not a big tv watcher.

17. What's your favorite baby gift to give?

A diaper cake, cause I can incorporate a really nice useful gift and my scrapbooking.

18. How old are you?

I am 53!

19. When do I scrap?

I typically scrap on the weekends, but I scrap a whole lot in the summer time when I am off and have a lot of time to do that.

My most favorite time to scrap and most productive is when I am on a scrap retreat. Cause I tend to get much more done when I am around other scrappers than when I am alone.

20. Who do I scrap for?

The most wonderful grandchildren a woman could ask for. All 6+ of them!!

21. Favorite flower?

Tulips, any color

22. What is the reason I scrap?

I have 3 childhood pictures of myself and it pains me greatly that there are no pictures to look over and reminisce about. So, I am determined that my family will have pictures to help recall the memories.

Scrapping Weekend

Every summer I have a scrapping weekend at the scrapbook retreat facility I own. I pick a time when the house is not rented and invite some very special friends that I can spend some time with and scrap uninterrupted for several days. You see when I am there one weekend a month I am usually cleaning, cooking meals, and catering to the guests so I don't get to enjoy the wonderfulness of scrapping without having to do all that. Oh don't get me wrong I absolutely love when I entertain guests but being able to "attend" a scrap retreat at your own place and with great friends at that is even better. So, I will be there from this afternoon through Monday. Can we say 96 hours of bliss? Hopefully, I won't require too much sleep to take away from that time!!

Coming Soon: I am going to try my best to post my first ever video tutorial this weekend, cause I will have someone to help me with it!! Yippee!!

Birthday Bouquets

I created these birthday bouquets for my grandson's first birthday party. I had so much fun doing these. Create a Critter is the best Cricut cartridge. All but the lady bug were cut at 8". The lady bug was cut at 6.5". I did not get a real close up picture but I think mom is going to use them on his walls in his room. I will get some pictures then!

Ready for the Flood?

Yellow Bling Bazzil Cardstock Cut to standard card size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Pink Smooth Cardstock ( manufacturer unknown)
Pattern Paper Close to My Heart (Boom di Ada)
Cuts used: Clothesline on P 46. I cut off the clothes. Cut at 3 inches.
Birthday Bird on p 58. I cut 2 at 2.25 inches.
Happy Bird day was cut from Alphalicious at 2.25 inches and welded together, (except I missed one little spot). LOL!!

Club Ruby
You already know that “Club Ruby” is coming up FAST. Well, the first month of supplies are already in! We have AMAZING papers, embellishments, ribbons and other things all ready for the Club Ruby design team to start crafting with and making videos. We have a very talented team of web designers and developers working on the website. This is an extremely professional web design team, so be ready to be impressed! Even the logo itself is going to be enough to make you stop and take a second look – SO cool!

Club Ruby is going to be an amazing resource for learning and inspiration! And it’s not just for Cricut users, it’s for ALL Crafters at any skill level. You already know from following the Above Rubies Studio blog that our guiding philosophy is that we’re all about the CRAFTER; educating, helping and inspiring the crafting community, and Club Ruby is no different.

Another Birthday Today!!

Well, hubby and I are going to another grandchild birthday party this afternoon. This is our busy, busy season with family activities. Not to mention my son and his wife just moved into a new house that needed lots of work so we have been helping when we can for that. So that is where I will be this afternoon. Then my long awaited promise is going to come true!! Look for some project pictures this afternoon and hopefully by the end of the weekend a video of my scrapbook room!!

What a Wonderful Birthday!!

Sunday was my birthday and my honey and I spent the day together. He is not really a shopper when it comes to birthdays, Christmas yes, birthdays not so much. I had given him 3 ideas and I guess they overwhelmed him because Sunday morning rolled around and he said, Let's go find your birthday present. Earlier during the month of February at my quarterly doctor visit I was told I MUST lose weight and exercise. Well it is the truth and like it or not for health's sake I needed to be obedient. So for my birthday I asked for either a treadmill or a Wii and Wii Fit Plus. Upon careful examination of the really cool treadmill I decided I had absolutely no place to put the humongous thing so we decided on the Wii for that reason + so many others.

So we trekked over to the Electronic sections (one of my faves) in WalMart and bought the Wii and accessories, but no Wii Fit: out of stock everywhere!! Then my dear, wonderful husband decided that since we have that we might as well upgrade our TV to a large flat screen. He has wanted one for about 3 years now and we look at them all the time but never buy. I was shocked when he said let's get one. We had an old one and he was unsure about the connections.

Last night the whole fam came over for a birthday dinner and the guys helped hubby put it all together and get it set up! I am so grateful for such a caring family and especially my wonderful hubby that cares so much about me and making me happy. He is truly a keeper!

Listen to what happened yesterday!! I was the one in the family assigned to go to the grocery and get the steaks we were having at my son's birthday dinner over at my daughter's house. So while at the grocery store I got his monetary gift to enclose in his card. Got in the car and went to retrieve the card (in the envelope) with only his first name written across the front. It was not in my purse! The only two places it could be are either on my desk...I am so hoping!...or dropped in the mail slot with all the other mail...no stamp...first name only! Won't the PO be surprised? I bet they will just scratch their heads and say...Some people!!

Birthdays, Birthdays, more Birthdays and an Anniversary!!

Hello to everyone. This is a really busy time for my family. My two oldest children have birthdays 4 days apart. My oldest (son) was born 34 years ago today. He is the only son and has been such a blessing to his mama. I just love him!! He is a great dad and takes such care of his wonderful growing family. He has 3 sons 13, 10,5 and one on the way...we are so hoping and praying for a girl. Five more weeks and we will know!!

My oldest daughter's birthday who lives way off on the other side of the country (OR) and is a fabulous nurse had a birthday on Sunday. I did not take a picture of her card. :( She is not married and does not have children. I sure wish she lived closer to me.

My birthday is this coming Sunday. Have no clue yet what will be in store for that one. AND. My 35th wedding anniversary is next weekend. I am married to the most wonderful, patient, hardworking man you could ever ask for.

So needless to say with all this going on please be patient with me, I do plan to start doing pictures of my projects and doing videos to show as well.

Can I tell you just how excited I am for all of this to take place. I cannot wait for my official duties as a designer for Above Rubies Studio to begin. I am so excited for this next adventure in my life.

Woo Hoo!!! Good News!

I applied to be on a design team for Above Rubies Studios. The official announcement came out today and I made Megan's design team. Thanks so much Megan for the vote of confidence. This sure lifted me up today. I will do you proud.

A promise to my viewers. I will start posting projects, cards, and layouts to my blog. I will even begin to video some projects, as soon as the room is clean enough for me to even work in. Remember my earlier post about this is the most difficult room in the house to keep clean? Well those days are over as soon as I get it clean and put some things back in their homes. Being on this design team is going to be my motivation for a clean room, cause who wants to work in a messy and unorganized scrap areas right

I am so looking forward to getting to know all the other designers and bouncing ideas off each other. More to come later so stay tuned!!

Time Off + Rest and Relaxation = A pulled together person

I took some time off of work after the holidays and went to visit my cousin for a week. We love being together and I needed to get some thoughts together and have some more time for rest and relaxation so off I went. I head back to work on Tuesday and will be getting back into the swing of my regular school routine. I am kind of dreading it cause I want more than anything to be a stay at home grandma and help with my grandchildren. But I just cannot do that right now so I must put my mind in the mode of teaching. I will do the best that I can do and hopefully take care of everything else on the weekends.

I have moved my scrapbook room around a bit and still want to get a video of it to post and send some people here to look at it. I seem to always need to get it cleaned up though.

Hopefully I plan to start showing off my creations here pretty soon!!

A New Outlook

Well, the holidays are over. I am hoping so much that my taking the next 2 weeks off will help my attitude and mental health tremendously. I have had lots of time for scrapping and crafting over the holidays as well as much needed family time. I am leaving on a jet plane...I am going on a weeklong trip to visit my cousin in NC. I am so excited to be going and yet sad that I know it will go so very fast. I hope to get back to blogging more frequently...it is hard to do that sort of thing when you know no one is reading it. But words are therapy so hopefully this will benefit me way more than anyone else!!

That is the cheer we give at calendar time every Friday. My first graders love Friday as much as their teacher does. Today is a special day because we are having a compliment party. That means a long afternoon of children vegging before a movie. They get to choose what they want and it is so nice that they chose a movie and popcorn.

I did not get to do any scrapping last weekend so I am sure hoping that will happen this weekend. We will see. My life is so hectic right now it just seems like I cannot find the time to do anything I want to do. But hopefully, one of these days....hmmm. Maybe?

Well, I am a perpetual slob I think. The hardest room in my house to keep clean is the scrapbook room. I cannot even go in there and scrapbook because of the mess sometimes. So my DIL who works for me 2 days a week in my classroom had a new challenge this week. I asked her to clean my scrapbook room and put things away! It is now in tip top shape and I plan to keep it that way!! Not going to mess it up now way no how!! I am going to get some scrapping done this weekend. I might begin my Christmas cards. I saw a really cute one at The Pink Stamper so thought I might use that one. I also want to make some more match book gift card holders for all the guys that help me in my classroom and my team mates.

Great Weekend

I had a wonderful weekend this past one. I took off work Friday so Thursday evening as soon as I fed my hubby I headed to the scrapbook house for a great weekend getaway with some dear friends. There were 5 of us and we all had planned a project and had everyone make the project there. We had an absolute blast. I will take a picture of the projects tomorrow after I unload my stuff. I just went and picked it all up tonight and brought it home. I have come to the realization I am a totally messy scrapper!!

Well, on Monday I got my scrapbook room cleaned. It took 2 hours but everything is back in its place. After I got my school work completed Tuesday evening I decided to go in there and get some work done. I scrapped a 2 page layout. If I can do that at least 3 times a week I might get somewhere with my scrapping.

I went to the SDV at Disney World last weekend. I was so happy to be able to attend. I had thought I was not going to go because originally it was the first week of school but then they changed the school calendar and it was the second week of school so being that it was not as stressful to leave that week I went. I was soooo sooo proud of my progress. I got 48 pages completed. WOW!! I was so happy that I got that many done. Now if I can only keep it up by trying to get at least a few a week done. If I could keep the scraproom clean then I think I could.

lately at all. Or photography either for that matter. School has completely consumed me once again. There is soooooo much to get ready. I came home each evening this past week totally exhausted. I was thankful though for the many cards I created this summer cause there were 3 birthdays this week and 5 people that either retired or left our school for another venture.

I will be doing some crafting very soon because I will be going to the Disney SDV Aug 27-30. I am going to reserve next weekend to get everything prepared. I am very excited to be able to have this opportunity again. Yeah!!

So I am off to school today for 2 purposes. To go to my friend's Stamp-n-Scrap. And to finish up all of my tasks in my classroom.

Summer vacation that is! It is back to the grind tomorrow. Celebrated this afternoon of my last little bit of summer by going to the movies with my hubby. He knew how bad I wanted to see Julie & Julia so we went. It was a delightful movie. And inspired me to blog more faithfully. If she could write every single day then I should be able to write on this blog at least twice a week cause I am on this dadgum computer every singe day! So I am going to attempt to talk about something at least twice a week. It may not be about anything scrappy but at least I can talk about something.

Here is the scrappiness for this post though: I was at the scrapbook house (I own a retreat facility) this weekend and got almost 40 cards designed and made. Some were fairly simple but then some of them were a bit more complicated. Unfortunately no pictures cause I have not brought them home from the scrapbook house yet.

A New Obsession!!

I have been taking a couple of photography classes over at Jessica Sprague's website. These are some amazing classes. Two of them are photo-editing classes using PSE and the other is a class on how to better utilize my camera. I have learned so much but it has been very time consumming so my scrapping AND blogging about it has taken a backseat. I am going to try to get on track with both for the rest of the summer.

Scrapbook Retreat

I went to a very fun scrapbook retreat this past weekend. I had awesome table mates, awesome roommates and a great business partner to share the weekend with. The food was great. I about panicked when we arrived in Orlando and did a bit of shopping and I discovered that I had left a very important part of my scrapbooking supplies at home. I left my file thing that had all my paper and thickers in it. And I left the container that had all of my bling. Well, I agonized for a bit and then thought what could I do? All of a sudden I called my daughter and asked her to go to my house and pack it in a box and express mail it to me. It was expensive but I would have spent that much money buying papers and other supplies I needed. And it was so worth it. I got 43 pages completed to the point of only needing journaling. (I also left my pens at home, but I didn't even pack them so they were completely forgotten) Next year I am going to make a list a couple of months ahead of time and then check it off as I put it into the car.

Update on the scraproom: I still need to do a few things. I am going to have to put the things off until after school is out as things are a bit stressful and a lot going on at this point in the year.

A Very Overwhelming Time!

I went to Ocala today to my favorite scrapbook store ever. Griffin's has been around for 30 years and I have been going there for the last 10 years to buy scrapbook stuff. They always have the latest and the best. Well, suddenly or so it seems they are going out of business. Today was the first day with their marked down inventory so I went. There were soooo many people there. I couldn't get a cart and spent several minutes tracking down at least a basket to put my stuff in and relieve my arms. Barbara had asked me to just buy her a surprise and not worry about the scrapbook house so much. Well, I don't know if it was that there were so many people, my arms hurt, not knowing what to buy, or what it was but I came the closest I have ever had to having a panic attack. I stood in line over an hour. Didn't hold that basket though I set it on the floor and just scooted it along with my foot. Anyhow, I got lunch and headed home all the while shaking like a leaf. I thought it would subside by the time I reached the scrapbook house but no it didn't. I loaded my scrapbook stuff quickly and then came home and took a long much needed nap. So hopefully I don't have to go anytime soon to a crowded close out scrapbook store to get what I probably could have done without in the first place!

Making Progress

With a super busy weekend I managed to get several things done in the scrap room. I was going to take my video tonight but dh had the TV on with the CMA awards and it was too noisy for me to do that. I am usually never home alone because he gets home from work before I do and therefore the TV is always on! Sometimes kind of annoying but Spring Break is coming very soon. In fact, I needed mine to come sooner than this coming Friday so since I have the time available I took Wednesday and Thursday off also. So I am off from Wednesday, April 8-Sunday April 19. I am so ready for a break.

Ok, back to my progress...
I got all the pictures in the frames.
I put up new recent purchases.
I put away inks and some odds and ends.
I finished labeling those things that have items in them. I am going to leave the things blank that are not utilized yet.

Goal is to have those things done before I go back to school.

I wanted to set up this blog to chronicle my scrap life. The first and foremost thing that is happening with scrapping is the recent redesign of my scrapbook room. It is basically finished with only a very few touches still needed. I will be very content to work in this room over the next several years. I am recently having a love affair (lol) with the color red so I wanted this template to match my new scrapbook room decor. I hope to videotape the room in the next few days and post here.
